Born into the industry, Erica’s love of dogs and grooming came naturally. She grew up playing at her father’s dog salon with a lot of puppies and dogs. Her father then established a grooming school in the 90’s, where she happened to get her training started in 2003. She helped the family with breeding and showing Poodles and Kerry Blue Terriers, where she could learn the care for long-coated dogs, how to handle dogs at shows along with general health care and handling. She spent many years specializing in poodle dog shows and various handling techniques. Her family’s Kerry Blue Terrier got invited to an international dog show in California in 2007. It was Erica’s first visit to the States, which made her wanting and deciding to explore the world and move someday. 

In 2010, Erica finally made her journey to North America and came to Toronto in 2011. While she was working in the neighbourhood of Yorkville for 5 years, she was awarded at a Las Vegas grooming competition. Working in Canada, she saw the love Canadians had for their pups and decided this is where she wanted to root herself.

We were lucky enough to have Erica join the Spaw family in 2017 as she has been such a great addition to an already fabulous bunch! She loves how professional the team is and the love everyone has for what they do. 

Elsa, Erica’s adorable Bichon Frise moved to Canada from Korea in 2018 and she is always by Erica’s side. Erica was awarded at a Canadian grooming show in 2018 with Elsa and hopes to have many more adventures with her!
